Can life possibly be better? We have been married for just over 3 months and life is great!

Nathan has been living with us since Mid June so he could take a Thai class at BYU to fulfill his foreign language requirement at UGA. It has been fun to have him here and I think if asked he would say it was worth the time and money to come out here, not just for the class but because he got to hang out with me and Elijah too. Elijah and I have had a lot of fun picking on him and treating him like he is about 10 or like he is our pet. Throwing lettus leaves in his room and telling him that's his dinner, reminding him to wash his hands, and making sure he eats all of his dinner. His rewards were pats on the head or sometimes even dessert. Nathan will be missed! Nathan is actually going home this weekend which is sad, but he didn't transfer to BYU and he still wants to graduate from UGA so I guess he has to get home in time for school to start out there.
Since Nathan has been here we have been trying to make sure he gets to see as much of the extended family as we could. So we went to visit Kasi and Rich, LeeAnn and Doug, and Veldon and Diane. I know there is a lot of family that is living close but a trip to Idaho was not in the plan so unfortunately we didn't get to see some of the family but we tried! We actually went to Kasi and Rich's house and got to help Rich celebrate his birthday! We played Raquetball with Doug and LeeAnn which was fun. Elijah had never played before and I think with a little practice he could be an amazing player! At Veldon and Diane's we played Outburst and learned some very interesting terms from back in 1991!

Nathan spent a few days on the couch because one of my good friends from Grad school Jessi Davey decided to go on a mission. She will be serving in the Albuquerque, New Mexico Mission. Jessi stayed with us for a few days before she went to the MTC. I think she was bored out of her mind while she was with us, but she said she got a lot of reading done! Jessi came to work with me for a few days and since there are days that I get bored at work I had no idea how she wouldn't be bored. But we made it through and on Wednesday I got to take her to the MTC and drop her off, I felt like a mother on her child's first day of school taking pictures of every moment I could. I don't know how real mothers feel yet about dropping their "baby" off at the MTC but I hope someday to find out! I think one of my favorite parts was when we pulled in they asked if I had a missionary to drop off and I said yes all of them looked at scruffy Nathan in the back seat with a questioning look. Then they would realize that it was a Sister Missionary!! When we left the MTC I felt like such a celebrity everyone waving like I was somebody special. I would totally do that again!!

Elijah has been promoted to Advocate which is similar to a supervisor but not quite. So we have returned to the waking up at 4:00am and him leaving at around 4:30 or so. I should say he wakes up around 4 and I wake up long enough to make sure he's OK and give him a kiss goodbye then I go back to sleep for another 2 hours. He likes his job much better now that he isn't on the phone all the time listening to the same problem over and over. I am working at herbs for Health and trying to cram 5 years worth of knowledge into my head. I have a lot to learn but I think it could be extremely beneficial for me to have this kind of knowledge on hand.

We even made time to go and climb the Y mountain. I need to get out and do more I am so out of shape, but Elijah was so nice he would always allow me to take breaks and would stop with me. Nathan on the other hand pressed on without us, but we all made it to the Y and enjoyed the view it provided of Provo. There was also a moment of slight alarm as one of the little kids that was also there with his family decided to climb down some and took a bad step and tumbled down the Y a little bit. It was just like in the movies, his water bottle went clattering down the rest of the mountain and out of sight, he lost his hat, but when he finally was able to stop himself, Nathan and Elijah were the first ones to him. I think he had the wind knocked out of him and might have had a slight concussion among the other cuts and bruises that he had. He was fine and even made it back down the mountain before us. It was quite an excursion back to the car. We talked and joked and took pictures and video. There is never a dull moment when Elijah and Nathan are around.
